Ladybugs often have just a few spots on them, but for my example I wanted a lot of dots, so I chose this one. The red wing coverings make a good example for a stencil where the black layer overlaps the red layer. So, in this case, you paint black over red
The bridged layers are specially made so that they won't fall apart or lose 'islands' when you cut them.
Cut out and paint your three-layer stencil of Ladybug with Lots of Spots. Decide whether you will use the natural surface color as one of your layers. For example, if your surface color is close to the color linen , then you may choose to omit the first layer since the surface has this color already.
