Using the Stencils

Cut out and paint your three-layer stencil of Motocross. Decide whether you will use the natural surface color as one of your layers. For example, if your surface color is close to the color snow , then you may choose to omit the first layer since the surface has this color already. Tip #4:

Choose a foreground subject

That landscape with the barn in the distance looks great as an ordinary photograph, but in order to make a great stencil you'll want an easily recognizable object in the *foreground* of your image.
